My practice provides hands on advice to small to mid-size corporate clients and individuals focusing on cross-border representation, in particular cross-border litigation and corporate and commercial matters.

 

My services are based on expertise and experience in German and US as well as international law. I am educated and licensed to practice law in Germany (Rechtsanwalt) and New York State, USA. Prior to establishing my own practice, I have worked for several years at top international law firms in the US and Germany advising clients on both sides of the Atlantic. Where appropriate and to best suit the interests of my clients, I work together with highly specialized attorneys in Germany and the US.

 

I am an active member of professional associations such as the German Arbitration Institution (DIS) and the German-American Lawyers' Association (DAJV).  

 

Representative matters: ​

• Advised a French-German consortium in a highly complex ICC arbitration dispute arising from an agreement for the construction of a nuclear power plant

• Advised a German client in a DIS arbitration regarding indemnification claims under a stock purchase agreement

• Advised a German party in a construction dispute over the construction of an eclectic power grid in the North Sea before the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt

• Advised a Brazilian party before the US District Court for the Southern District of New York

• Advised a German party on the application of mandatory German law to an arbitration agreement governed by US law

• Advised on export of goods from the US to Europe

• Drafted corporate documents (e.g. articles of associations, joint venture agreements) and commercial contracts (e.g. sales contracts and general terms and conditions) for German clients
